Dear Former / Current Students and Staff of General Panet High School

Coming up 2008 May 16 – 18, General Panet High School, located at CFB Petawawa will be Celebrating its 50th Anniversary. Activities will include Meet and Greet, B-B-Q with the teachers of General Panet High School, buffet dinner and dance (live band and D-J), Sunday brunch, sports events – not to mention reuniting and reminiscing with your friends from General Panet High School!

We have kept in touch with many students (former and present) who are looking forward to returning for the 50th Anniversary Celebration, and every effort is being made to locate as many former staff and students as possible to make the event an even greater success.

You can help us, simply collect your friends email addresses, create a Panet Email Tree (email contact list), and forward to Judy Duplisea at jduplisea@sympatico.ca by 2007 December 31. The person with the most email addresses will be the lucky winner of two "Three Day Event Packages" a value of $200.00. So come on join in the Panet Email Tree Event!

  1. Where will the 2008 General Panet Reunion be held?
    To accommodate the expected large turnout, most events for the 2008 General Panet Reunion will be held at the Petawawa Civic Centre, with the exception of the B-B-Q with the teachers, which will be held at General Panet High School.
  2. What is included in the "Early Bird Registration" packages?
    Three (3) Day Event Package includes the following for the price of $100.00:

· Friday Night – Registration, and Meet & Greet – doors open at 6:00 p.m.

· Saturday B-B-Q with the teachers

· Saturday Night – Buffet Dinner and Dance seating starts at 5:30 p.m.

· Sunday – Brunch – 10:00 a.m. to 13:00 p.m. hours

· 50th Anniversary - Pin, T-Shirt, and Small Bottle of Wine

Two (2) Day Event Package includes the following for the price of $80.00:

· Saturday B-B-Q with the teachers

· Saturday Night – Buffet Dinner and Dance seating starts at 5:30 p.m.

· Sunday – Brunch 10:00 to 13:00 hours

· 50th Anniversary - Pin, T-Shirt, and Small Bottle of Wine

One (1) Day Event Package - Dinner / Dance Only $40.00

  1. Is it possible to register for each event separate?
    For this event the     "Early Bird Pre-Registrations" of $100.00, $80.00, or $40.00 are the only pre-paid discounted packages available – all other entrance fees will be "Pay as You Go". Note: The only packages that include 50th Anniversary - Pin, T-Shirt, and Small Bottle of Wine are the $100.00 and $80.00 packages.

  1. Will vegetarian food be available?
    For this event the committee has chosen a buffet style dinner which includes vegetarian dishes (i.e.: pasta, salads, and fruits).

  1. Is the bar included in the registration fee and all events?
    As in previous years the bar is a cash bar (not included in the registration fees) and will be open for all events except for Saturday afternoon B-B-Q with the teachers at General Panet High School, and Sunday Brunch at the Petawawa Civic Centre.
  2. Will there be live music?
    Yes, there will be a D-J Friday evening and a live band Saturday evening.
  3. Can we bring our own musical instruments?
    You are invited to bring your own musical instruments for impromptu jam session(s).
  1. Will there be a choice of teams for sports activities?
    For convenience, all teams will be mixed and chosen randomly.
  2. How will I know the time and place of sports events?
    Listings of teams, locations, and events will be posted at the entrance door of the Petawawa Civic Centre. We regret that we may not be able to guarantee a reservation for you at certain (or all) events unless you register early.
  1. Will camping be permitted at the Petawawa Civic Centre?
    Unfortunately due to the legal liability, camping will not be permitted at the Petawawa Civic Centre. Please see guide for motels, hotels, and camp grounds located around the area. Many of the local establishments have offered discounts available for the weekend of the 2008 General Panet Reunion. Please consult with the desk clerk when making reservations.
